The handy and easy-to-use system measures and saves all relevant expiratory flow-volume parameters, such as PEF, FEV 1 , FVC and FEF, records symptoms, events and medication including severity and dose - a complete electronic diary for home monitoring. The patient is guided through the entire process by 4 buttons and clear and easy-to-read instructions. Visual indicators (traffic light feature) allows for an immediate assessment of the measurement.

The Flow-Volume sensor of the AM2+ complies with the current ATS/ERS standards and produces reproducible, highly accurate measurement results. The diary part consists of flexible questionnaires embedded in an intelligent workflow: Diary data can be controlled by independent time windows (e.g. morning/evening questions), audible alerts, powerful branching logic and automated score calculation with immediate feedback to the patient. To make the use of the AM2+ as convenient as possible for the patient, all questions and instructions are available in almost any language, including Kanji or Cyrillic characters.

Connected to the Health Communicator® , the AM2+ will download all recorded information to a central database and/or provide a printed version of all diary information to the investigator. The AM2+ is designed to replace an ordinary peakflow meter, diary and pencil by a single, robust and reliable system that produces high-quality data with patient compliance guaranteed.
