and COPD (Chronical Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) as well
as cystic fibrosis are the most common pulmonary disorders.

children whereas non-allergic asthma and COPD occur mainly
in adults. Consequently, pulmonary disorders concern us all,

know that you are always concerned about your patients. Nevertheless,
it is almost impossible for you to be always on your patient’s
side when his or her condition gets worse. AM1 can. The easy to
operate AM1 can always accompany your patient, as it fits even in
the smallest pocket.
If needed, AM1 measures all important expiratory flow-volume parameters
wherever your patient is - at home, during leisure activities or
at work. Based on the previously entered best values, the so-called
traffic light function provides useful visual information about
the patient’s current health status. If needed, the patient
can immediately take medication. Additionally, events, symptoms
and their severity as well as the drugs taken can be entered in
the integrated electronic diary.
The
integrated diary feature is a benefit for both patients and doctors:
patients do no longer require pen and paper to keep their diary
and doctors do not have to decipher a patient’s illegible handwriting.
The electronic diary can be simply transferred to your computer
with the help of the powerful Asthma Monitor Software AMOS®.
Based on this information, therapy can be tailored to the patient’s
needs. The long-term trend control feature allows you to assess
therapeutic success via a certain period of time. If required, therapy
can be adjusted or modified (e.g. drug doses can be increased etc.).
Patients consequently take a more active role and learn to manage
their disease themselves.
And they will be rewarded by a higher quality of life. |

evaluation, for example, because they are on holidays or if the data
has to be provided on a daily basis?
No problem with Asthma Monitor® AM1. The small unit
provides all features, a modern telemedicine system should have. Together
with the Health Communicator HC1, a powerful modem for data transmission,
you have powerful telemedicine systems at your disposal which comply
with the latest technological standards.
Simply connect the AM1 to the HC1 and the data will immediately be
sent to the doctor’s or care manager’s computer.
Intelligent monitor and alert programs automatically identify at-risk
patients, whose data are not within the normal range. Consequently,
you can personalize and focus your care.
